Sharon is a marketing, communications and business development specialist who is passionate about building brands, reputations and businesses.
With a career spanning nearly 30 years, she has worked with some of the world’s biggest organisations including ExxonMobil, Myers Industries, PwC, Tata and Lloyds Banking Group.
Prior to founding her own award-winning marketing and communications agency (Tonic) in 2005, Sharon was Deputy MD at a ‘Top 100’ PR agency where she helped grow a fledgling PR consultancy into one of the UK’s leading PR firms in less than five years.
Working in the UK and across Europe, she now provides marketing and business consultancy to entrepreneurs and business leaders in a broad spectrum of organisations ranging from small family owned enterprises to global multi-nationals.
She is particularly adept at developing business and communications strategies for entry into new markets – a recent project generated a 25% increase in a manufacturing company’s turnover in less than 12 months – and is also a specialist in crisis and issue-related communications.
Issues dealt with range from organisational change through to fraud allegations at Director level, business closures and workplace fatalities. Her experience includes setting up and managing crisis communications functions for large multi-site organisations through to training senior leadership teams at international airports.
Known for her pragmatic, direct and results-focus approach, she is not afraid to ask the ‘awkward’ question, challenge conventional wisdom or hold her clients to account in order to help them achieve their goals.
