About MyPhotoSchool People:
Elspeth Briscoe, Founder
Elspeth Briscoe spent 15 years working for internet companies. She started off agency-side helping internet start-ups through IPO in the boom time. She went on to hold strategy positions at eBay and Skype, and more recently consulting for The Guardian (digital). A change of direction (and a love of the environment and horticulture) had her re-training as landscape designer (PGDip distinction). During her design studies Elspeth met her business partner and MyPhotoSchool co-founder, Duncan Heather who was the principal of the college. Elspeth & Duncan have also founded MyPhotoSchool’s sister company, the world’s first virtual gardening school, MyGardenSchool
Duncan Heather, Founder
Duncan is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers. Although he still considers himself an amateur he has twice been a IPA-Lucie award winner; has won the SWPP & BPPA Monochrome Photographer of the Year and was placed first in the RHS Garden Photographer of the Year Competition. Duncan is also founder of the world’s first virtual gardening school, MyGardenSchool with Elspeth Briscoe, and is the principal of The Oxford College of Garden Design – widely recognised as one of the world’s top landscape design schools and now a pioneer in online education.
David Taylor, Tutor & Chief Blogger
David Taylor is an award-winning landscape and travel photographer. After 18 years as a graphic artist in the computer games industry, working on titles such as Destruction Derby, the Test Drive series and L.A. Rush, David turned to professional photography full-time in 2006. David’s work has taken him all over the world, from the sun-kissed beaches and aqua seas of Zanzibar to the bright chill of northern Sweden in the depths of winter. But his first love remains the wild countryside and rugged coastline of his home county of Northumberland, which he has photographed extensively, and which he continues to delight in exploring.
