In the grand scheme of things, 10 years seems relatively short. But a lot can happen over this time period, and one organisation that can attest to this is PurpleBeach, who are currently rejoicing in its 10th anniversary.
We will be looking back over the years at the hard work that has been pumped into creating PurpleBeach and the many achievements that were born from this.
Tin is the traditional metal for a 10-year anniversary, and it is appropriate when thinking of PurpleBeach. Tin symbolises stability, flexibility, and durability over the years. You have to be able to bend and not shatter. This describes PurpleBeach’s methods and approaches to business perfectly and it is something that flows through and integrates into their teaching. And all of this teaching, research, and experience has culminated in ‘PurpleBeach’s Manifesto for People Innovation.’ Self-described accurately as triumphant, this document should act as ‘the Bible’ to any industry leader looking to adapt the landscape of their business, unlock growth and inspire innovation into the minds of employees.
In a quote from PurpleBeach, they describe working ‘with innovative businesses to help their people be the best they can, to harness technology to deliver great service and to be genuine industry leaders. PurpleBeach’s mantra is that they will always tell you what you need to know, even when it’s not what you wanted to hear.’ Honesty is key and the courage to tell people what they need to know is imperative. The biggest takeaway from the manifesto is PurpleBeach’s approach to business consultancy, they are aware that every organisation is different, and a one size fits all approach is not always appropriate. PurpleBeach works differently, they take an innovative position over the traditional.
A huge feat though it is, the manifesto is not the only accomplishment that has transpired over the past 10 years. It is only the beginning. Launching their radio station and a series of podcasts on demand must be included. From talks on leadership and culture to relaxing sounds of the beach, this is cultivated with the mindset of inspiring its listeners and accumulating information useful to the new wave of companies desiring a different approach. PurpleBeach TV is yet another success and is inclusive of a whole host of inspiring individuals sharing perspectives and insights via the medium of television.
A person’s strength can often be measured by their reaction to the unprecedented and adverse, and this is the same for business, and when has this strength been tested more, than at the peak of the Covid-19 Pandemic. It is safe to say PurpleBeach not only came out of the other side but additionally thrived. This was demonstrated through an online zoom event which invited ‘PurpleBeach friends from around the world to “Zone Out” with us in a relaxed evening of fun, laughter, connection, stimulation, and a zebra!’ (PurpleBeach, 2020). If you require further proof of championing adversity, you should look at the list of clientele PurpleBeach has to brag. Which understandably leads to glowing reviews, one client advised that PurpleBeach ‘will make your team feel more courageous. They will make them experiment and make them bolder. They’ll make them embrace innovation’
It would be hard to agree on which achievement has been most successful, there are so many to pick from. However, in my own opinion, it is the combination of everything they have succeeded in, and this is all aimed at giving back to their clients, to the workforce, and to those in charge, looking for a new tomorrow in their industry. The combination of steadiness and forethought is to be admired. Thinking outside of the box has never been easy, yet PurpleBeach achieve this seamlessly, taking a holistic approach over the norm. PurpleBeach has seen a lot over 10 years and there should be no doubt in your mind of how much they have succeeded in. So, congratulations once again to PurpleBeach for a successful 10 years, and here’s to 10 more years of innovative practices and modern leadership.
